The Role:
You will be responsible for driving Live Sports revenue and successfully achieving your sales goals through both your personal efforts and the team. This is an individual contributor position, with a focus on new business development. This role reports to the SVP, Sales Midwest.
- Utilize your vast network in the sports media and advertising space to prospect and close new media and sponsorship business with Midwest based clients and media agencies
- Oversee the full sales cycle including lead generation, cold calling, and relationship management
- Partner with Marketing to communicate and strategize proposals, presentations, and other sales materials to hit sales goals and generate revenue for Cast Iron Media
- Work closely with the Advertising Operations and Account Management team on account maintenance including campaign management, optimization, and customer service
- Develop lasting and profitable relationships with new and existing customers to maximize revenue for the company
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for this role is well-versed in local broadcast and / or local OTT media sales, specifically for sports and entertainment in your region.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred with 5+ years of quota achieving media sales goals
- Proven record of prospecting and closing 6 + 7 figure deals in local media and / or OTT space
- Possess a strong network of client and media agency contacts – local, TV, digital, and sponsorship in major Midwest markets: Austin, Chicago, Dallas, Detroit, Ohio, and Minneapolis
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills required, with experience presenting to senior media executives
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Google Workspace, Salesforce
This is a regional remote full-time, exempt position reporting to the Senior Vice President of Sales – Midwest; preferably based in a key Midwest market (Austin, Chicago, Dallas, Detroit, Ohio, or Minneapolis). Travel within the region required as needed plus occasional trip to company headquarters in White Plains, NY to meet with other team members.
